3.2 Y Option3 Attendance and Grading Policy3.1 Course grade

3.1 Course grade

The class grade will be based on about 14 short tests in class, book reports, and lab work. There will be no midterm exam or final exam. You may miss two of the in-class short tests without affecting your grade.

The in class short tests will account for 50% of your grade. The other 50% will be the book reports and lab work.

A subjective class participation score will also adjust your final score by a maximum of -1% to +2%. I may, at my discretion, add a fixed positive percentage to all students scores in a class.

Your course grade will be determined from the ratio of your maximum possible points and your total score adjusted by my assessment of your class participation and the class adjustment.
