Samba allows UNIX systems so provide MS shares to
client computers. It has a reputation for being
more reliable and using less resources than the
Microsoft products. Samba source code, binaries,
and documentation are available from
http://www.samba.org.
- Go to the samba website and read about
samba. (http://www.samba.org)
- Set up Samba on a server.
- Access the server from a Microsoft platform,
perform both read and write operations.
- Demonstrate your connection to the instructor.
